Phonetic Alphabet

The Phonetic Alphabet is used extensively in communications to ensure information that is transmitted is accurately received. Each letter of the alphabet is assigned a unique word that is used by all U.S. Military forces as well as all N.A.T.O allies. All personnel are required to memorize these letter-word associations.
