ACADEMIC TEAM
For our academically gifted cadets we have a team that competes in local, regional, and national academic competitions. Essentially, the concept of an academic team is a host school will develop and mail to our unit a multiple choice test covering the entire spectrum of Naval Science subjects and current events. The team assembles on the set day and one of the instructors will administer the test then send it back to the sponsoring unit for scoring. The top scoring teams win trophies, medals, and sometimes even cash awards! The National Academic exam is the most comprehensive and our teams compete against more than 1500 other teams nationwide.
